Staff and students from the University of Notre Dame Australia Fremantle campus have last week reflected on the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ in the lead up to Easter with a special Holy Hour on Wednesday 12 April 2017.

Open to all staff, students and members of the community, the Holy Hour of Eucharistic Adoration occurs at Notre Dame every Holy Week.

University Chaplain, Fr Subash Fernando OMI led the hour of prayer, which included exposition, procession from the Holy Spirit Chapel to Malloy Courtyard, Scripture reading, silent reflection, prayer and Benediction.

Frs Peter Black, Vincent Glynn and Christian Irdi were also available for the Sacrament of Reconciliation, and music for the event was provided by the Holy Spirit Chapel Choir, under the direction of the Musical Director Monica Brierley-Hay.

“As a University community committed to its Catholic faith, the Holy Hour provided the perfect opportunity for prayer, repentance and reflection prior to coming joy of Easter,” Tom Gourlay, Campus Ministry Manager at Notre Dame’s Fremantle Campus, said.
