Australian Catholic Religious Against Trafficking in Humans (ACRATH) will next month be holding a fundraising concert featuring a number of musicians from across the Archdiocese.

Artists Terry Burridge, Chris deSilva, Carly Power, Christopher Waddell, the Waddell Family and the Archdiocesan Occasional Choir, incorporating the Julian Singers, will all perform at the event.

The event will be accompanied by Margaret De San Miguel and Director of Music at St Mary’s Cathedral, Jacinta Jakovcevic.

ACRATH works to prevent human trafficking in Western Australia with the support of a dedicated group of volunteers.

ACRATH has four goals, to:

  1. raise awareness of human trafficking, its causes and the scope for action
  2. work to ensure that the rights and complex needs of people trafficked into Australia are met
  3. collaborate with like-minded organisations in Australia and beyond to advocate for measures to address human trafficking
  4. build a sustainable future for ACRATH.

ACRATH must raise funds to assist with this work so is holding a fundraising concert in August, to which all are invited.

The concert will be held on Sunday, 30 August at the Loreto Performing Arts Centre at 60 Webster St, Nedlands, from 2.15pm, and all profits go to ACRATH. The concert will also be followed by afternoon tea.
