Community Care Coordinator Gayleen Pfefferle had been growing her hair for the past year but it all came off when not-for-profit organisation Southern Cross Care, which provides aged care, support and accommodation services hosted a ‘head shave’ on Thursday 21 March.
Gayleen had been preparing for the shave all year, rounding up friends, acquaintances aqnd workmates to sponsor her.
All funds raised will go towards the World’s Greatest Shave campaign for the Leukaemia Foundation.
Staff got behind Gayleen’s efforts by purchasing raffle tickets for an Easter raffle and many were on hand to cheer her on.
